  1. Location dashboard
    • Date/Time – last communicated to Server by the device, also with a background color representation on severity.
    • Day Start Time (Time of first ignition for the day)
    • Vehicle RTO Number
    • Ignition Status (ON/OFF)
    • Crew Details (when clicked can show the details in Pop up)
    • Current vehicle Location (hyperlink could be provided to map)
    • Device Odometer Readings (Readings are fed to the application while installing device and there on add the GPS KMS and display the cumulative)
    • Current Speed of the vehicle (Movement/Idle/Over speed can be shown in pictorial representation)
    • Trips done for the day (count of trips from Source to Destination the vehicle has completed)
  2. Map view
    • Live view of all vehicles with bird eye view (grouping on location) with status (Ignition ON/OFF)
    • Depot wise grouping of vehicles  (Different colors assigned to each depot & user selects to monitor the whole vehicles or depot wise)
    • Route & designated Stops for the route view.
    • History & Replay of vehicles on map.
  3. Report generation
    • Vehicle Out Shedding Deviation Report : Each of the depot could be assigned a Geo Fence, the time the vehicle went out of fence has to be captured and then compared with actual out shedding schedule, and compare the deviations, this report will be useful for the management to understand/analyze the schedule adherence of the crew for duty.
    • Speed Violation Report: All vehicles to be set maximum speed permitted as 60 KMPH, in case exceeded then show the number of instances the vehicle exceeded the permitted speed with duration in the exceeded speed with location info.
    • Average Speed Report - Depot wise/ Operator wise/ Vehicle wise
    • Vehicle Distance Travelled Report– as per start date and end date given by the user
    • Monthly Vehicle Distance Travelled Report – all the vehicles for the month distance travelled report (for instance if the user selects this report on 15th of July, then the monthly report is by default calculated from 1st July to 15th July for all the vehicles in the login )
    • Daily Consolidated GPS Analysis Report – Vehicle wise
    • Vehicle Mountable Unit [VMU] failure report (For all vehicles) – all instances of device not functioned within the period as entered by user.
    • Scheduled Trip Adherence Report  - arrival time of bus to the first geo fence (source) V/s Actual scheduled time of arrival to source and deviation in minutes/hours and same applies to destination also.
    • Revenue Collection Report (Bus wise/ Depot wise/Vehicle wise/Route wise) – for the period as entered by user.
    • Vehicle Idle Report – No of Hours vehicle unused/ not moved – for the period as entered by user.
    • Alerts – Instance Type (Panic/Over speed/ route deviation/ late out shedding of vehicle from depot.
  4. Geo fence management
    • Create/Add Geo Fence – Circular/Polygon.
    • Modify Geo Fence – Modify the existing/created Geo Fence.
    • Delete Geo Fence – Delete the existing/created Geo Fence.
    • Create/Mark Route (Stop to Stop/with a deviation of +/- 200 MTS.
    • Assign Vehicle to Route or vice versa with alert settings to user like SMS (2 NOS), E-MAIL (2 NOS) and POP Alert on user application.
    • Schedule adherence Dashboard – Graphical indication of status of vehicles passing through a route Geo Fence was within time/ delayed arrival/ not arrived, no of vehicles in the same route(This helps indicate the schedule/Route/trip adherence etc.)
  5. Crew management
    • Create/Add /Modify Crew Profile – Conductor, Driver, Depot Manager
    • Assign Driver to Vehicle, Shift or vice versa
    • Assign Conductor to ETM, Vehicle, Shift
  6. Vehicle management
    • Create/Add/Modify Vehicle Profile – with details like RTO REG NO, CHASIS/ENGINE NUMBER, MTC UNIQUE ID NUMBER, VEHICLE AGING, ODOMETER READING, DATE OF SERVICE, OIL CHANGE DATE, DEPOT ATTACHED TO, ZONE/REGION, DATE OF INSURANCE, DATE OF FITNESS CHECK (FC), PERMIT RENEWAL (For interstate Buses).
    • Alert Settings – for instances like Service Date, Insurance Lapse, Permit lapse, Oil Change, FC Renewal.
  7. Statistics / analysis
    • Mileage (Fuel filled data to be taken from depot)
    • Revenue – Per Kilometer, for the route, vehicle, depot.
  8. Two way communication
    • While Panic/Emergency buttons provided in the Bus is pressed, there is an auto call being initiated to the control room or any other designated Mobile/telephone number by the Unit.
    • The control room also can initiate call back to any of the fleet to talk to the driver/crew.

 

The ETM terminal with built-in Bluetooth interface can communicate and transfer the real time transaction details (tickets and passes issued) to the vehicle mounted Unit (VMU) installed in the bus. The VMU is enabled with GSM/GPRS connectivity which can instantly transmit the data to the back end server located at MTC Control Centre. MTC can monitor the transaction details; can generate business intelligence data which can enable MTC officials to initiate timely planning and action for better utilization of resources like change of routes and manpower optimization etc.

  1. ETM device features
    • Easy to carry (weight less than 650 grams).
    • Are battery operated, integrated with a thermal printer and easily portable, can print up to 2000 tickets including the journey summary report.
    • Easy to operate; conductor needs to just enter the details like, number of passengers, ticket type and destination, all the tariff of tickets are pre loaded to the system.
    • Bluetooth interface provided in the ETM terminal can communicate in real time with the VMU (Vehicle Mounted Unit) which on real time sends the data to server on instances of ticket issued.

  1. Interactive smartphone application
    • User gets the application link for download to their smart phone through MTC Website or Google Play store.
    • User needs to register for using the application by filling up a form and creates a User name & Password, forgot password option also to be provided to user.
    • User can select Source & destination as provided in the drop down and submits the request and the app displays all the available bus schedules between the routes, also user can know by clicking on the selected bus the route schedule the bus travels.
    • User can also view the exact location of the bus on map view also.
  2. Interactive sms service
    • The SMS Server connectivity number (Example – 5545 etc) and SMS format for a particular query is published to the passengers/users.
    • The user types in the format for bus availability from source to destination using a format and sends it to the designated SMS Server using the Server ID.(Example – BA ^ SOURCE ^ DESTINATION)
    • The Server replies back an SMS to the user mobile number, with bus schedules between the routes (source & destination).
  3. ETA/ETD information display at bus terminals
    • The Display Units (46” / 52”LED TV) to be provided at two bus
    • The Display units display the ETA of buses starting before 30 MIN of the bus arrival with destination, Platform number & Status (On time, delayed, arrived)
    • Once the bus leaves the bus stop then the display should stop displaying the contents.
    • The content to be displayed in both Tamil as well as in English alternatively.
    • The advertisements/campaigns should be displayed alternatively.
    • The advertisement/campaigns content management console to be provided at Bus stands (access provided to the traffic manager of MTC), through which the contents are loaded and driven for display. (‘L” Type, Scrolling, Slide, Audio Visual)
